Dr. David Schoppa

Dr. David Schoppa has been with Horn & Company since April 2022, advising financial service providers on strategic positioning, implementation projects, and process optimization in retail banking and payment, particularly in issuing, merchant acceptance, and payment-related services. His focus is on overall banking and business unit strategies, customer-centric products, and process optimization in sales and service to achieve operational excellence.

Before joining Horn & Company, he completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in economic and organizational sociology at the universities of Bremen and Hamburg. He then worked in a specialized top management consultancy focusing on retail banking and payment while simultaneously earning his doctorate at the Free University of Berlin.

In his free time, David engages in sports activities, particularly bouldering. When time allows, he enjoys traveling as a backpacker to discover new cultures and perspectives—preferably on a motorcycle.
